We are looking for an experienced Quality and Release Manager to be a part of our R&D team in Oslo. In this position you will lead a team responsible for coordinating releases across disciplines, setting quality standards and ensuring sufficient testing and QA has been done before a release.

Key responsibilities

This is what you will achieve in the next 12 months

  • Further develop the end-to-end QA process, focusing on releases that touch several disciplines (hardware, firmware and software).

  • Work along-side hardware and software engineers, program managers and QA to triage issues and help the engineering teams make informed go/no-go decisions.

  • Implement test frameworks and tools as required; both for manual and automated testing.

  • Define explicit quality standards that must be met before release.

  • Proactively analyze the fleet of devices in field to identify main issues and liaise with customer success, product management and engineering teams to resolve them.

  • Develop ways to measure and report on product and release quality for different audiences, including for the leadership.

Key qualifications & skills

This is what we are looking for

  • Bachelor or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.

  • Experience equal to 5+ years in Quality Assurance, Release management, Testing or similar.

  • Coming from a hands-on technical background, like hardware, firmware or software engineering is a plus.

  • Certifications or knowledge of different test frameworks and tools is a plus.

  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to break down larger issues into manageable pieces.
