We are now seeking a Senior Expert IT to join our Shared Technology Competency Center. In this role you will be responsible for execution of the technology strategy and providing hands-on experience on new emerging technologies to support Telenor's initiatives and projects. As a key member of our Advisory Unit, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive solution design, architecture, and implementation across the organisation. This requires collaboration with different Telenor Business Areas as well as partners and industry arenas, such as GSMA and TM Forum.

Some of your main responsibilities: 

• Define and support in building the IT, AI and cloud architecture and projects in Telenor Business Areas to maximise impact across Telenor, enabling AI and cloud native technologies as well as fully leveraging external capabilities in the ecosystem. 

• Provide technology expertise and strategic guidance, advisory and support services to various Business Areas within Telenor on IT, design and architecture. 

• Provide AI, cloud and data platform expertise to support on data architecture and AI use cases implementation, focused on business outcomes for Telenor Business Areas.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess their future technology needs, define project scopes, and develop future proof and efficient solutions that align with business goals. 

• Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies and best practices related to tech telco, make recommendations for their adoption into existing systems and processes. 

Preferred experience and qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, telecommunications, or a related field. 

• Minimum seven years of experience within technology industry or telecommunications, with experience in technology design, implementation, and services. 

• Learning mindset to understand the development in the technology landscape, industry trends, and emerging technologies. 

• Good understanding of IT security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption and compliance standards. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 

• Relevant industry certifications in the areas of architecture, design or security are highly desirable (e.g. TM Forum, TOGAF, ITIL etc.). 

We believe experience from a complex organization, in combination with a technology expertise, is key to succeed in this role. You will bring a business and outcome mindset founded on strong understanding of cloud services.
