As Yxney Maritime is transitioning from a startup to a scaleup we are looking for a talented CTO with experience in building and scaling software to join us on the adventure.
Our cloud software Maress has gained a strong position in the offshore and energy industry. Now we are preparing to scale Maress to more customers and segments. We are looking for a CTO who is passionate about building a world leading software and company. The right candidate thrives at the helm, leading the technical development and direction of the team - a natural coordinator that loves to be in the middle of a fast pace team and has a drive to achieve greatness. We believe that to be successful you need that “fire in the belly” for creating and we will be on the lookout for candidates that share that passion with us. The CTO will have a varied workdays from hands-on development to strategic long-term decision making.

Required qualifications:
- Experience from scaling cloud technology
- Proven track record in startups/scaleups
- Cloud architecture development
- Java 8
- Spring Boot
- JavaScript

- Heroku or other cloud service providers

The successful candidate will have a background from software development in growing companies. The right candidate is concerned with climate change and wants to take part in tackling it. The CTO will be an important leader in the team, and will have free role and be able to plan own work days and long-term schedule. The CTO may have the opportunity to become a partner in Yxney Maritime.

The first step in that long-term goal is to increase efficiency, to save cost and emissions, in existing maritime operations. Data analytics is the core of our activities. Our main product is the cloud service; Maress, that has been adopted by some of the most advanced offshore vessel owners in the world. Maress tracks vessels around the world using a combination of live sensor data, public and private APIs together with customers data to process and visualize the relevant information in an appealing way to users.
